Jessica Laatsch - Violin, Viola and Cello Instructor

Jessica started playing the viola at 10 years old. She played for 8 years, and then she switched to the cello her senior year of high school. Jessica graduated in 2007 from Winona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Rehabilitative Science. While at Winona State University, Jessica was awarded a 4 year scholarship to play cello. She studied under cellist Dr. Paul Vance. While at WSU, she enjoyed playing in the University Orchestra, various small ensemble groups as well as the Winona Symphony Orchestra. After graduation Jessica started studying with cellist Derek Clark and continued to play with the Winona Symphony Orchestra for another 5 years. Jessica continues her studies on the cello with Derek Clark. Fun fact: Jessica is also a 5-time gold medalist as a former member of the 2010 US Martial Arts Team and continues to train and compete in kickboxing and Muay Thai fights. She also coaches boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai at Iron Works in LaCrosse and Holmen. 


Jessica is passionate about teaching cello and helping others discover their potential to find lifelong enjoyment through music.
