Amy Zimmer
Animal Adventures in Music
Amy’s love of music started when she began taking piano lessons at the age of 8. As a
teenager, Amy began lessons with David Reedy at Reed Music Studios. She was also an active
band member, playing the trumpet in school. Amy has enjoyed many opportunities for
performing and accompanying in the area.
Amy has devoted her career to working with young children. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in
Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special
Education. Amy took some time off of teaching to care for her own 4 children. During that time,
she started a local branch of “Let’s Play Music.” For ten years she taught 4-8 year old children
beginning music lessons and music theory. Amy currently teaches 4K in Onalaska.
Amy has had experience with Reed Music Studios as a student and parent (all of her children have taken piano lessons at Reed), and is so excited to join the studio as a teacher, combining her passions of music and working with young children through the Animal Adventures in Music program.
