Andrea started piano lessons at the age of 4 which began her lifelong love of music. Being heavily involved in band, choir and church music growing up naturally led her to pursue a music education degree. At Luther College in Decorah, IA, Andrea studied flute with Dr. Carol Hester and a was member of the Concert Band and Symphony Orchestra among other ensembles and musical activities. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000, she went on to teach high school and junior high band as well as elementary general music and private music lessons. Since moving to the La Crosse area Andrea has been raising her two children, both of whom take lessons at Reed, in a home filled with music. She is excited to join Reed Music Studios’ talented and dedicated teachers and looks forward to sharing her love of music with new students!
