Judy Stafslien - Piano Instructor

Judy has been a member of the piano teaching staff of Reed Music Studios since 1998 and currently teaches approximately 30 students at Reed. She is also a full-time faculty member of Viterbo University’s Music Department as a Coach/Accompanist.
She received her degrees in piano performance and music education with a vocal/choral emphasis from Viterbo University.
Well known as a collaborative artist in the area she has accompanied soloists and choral groups throughout the United States and Europe. She has served as a professional accompanist for the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Metropolitan Opera District and Regional Auditions, and the Schubert Club Auditions.
Judy is also a staff accompanist for the Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria each summer.
A member of the Music Teacher’s National Association and the Wisconsin Music Teacher’s Association, she has consistently received the “Award of Excellence” for her teaching. Her students have received top ratings at the state WSMA solo/ensemble auditions as well as First Place, 1st Runner-Up, and Honorable Mention awards at the WMTA State piano auditions, and a First Place Regional award for the MTNA Composition competition.
