CHECKS FOR REGISTRATION FEES ARE PAYABLE TO REED MUSIC STUDIOS.
ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
A commonly asked question is "Why do we pay a registration fee in addition to paying for lessons?"
Registration fees are necessary to help defray the general operating and administrative costs of running the studio. Our studio is conveniently located in a beautiful, modern facility - the registration fees help in paying for costs such as grounds maintenance, snow removal, utilities, insurance and property taxes. We are proud to provide an attractive and comfortable setting that serves as a conducive environment for optimal student learning.
A portion of the registration fees collected also covers the cost of providing many recital opportunities throughout the year (facility rental, tuning, printing, refreshments, etc.) Reed Music Studios typically hosts up to nine recitals each year to ensure there are many performance dates available for students (and parents) to choose from.
Start-up Registration Fee for NEW Students :
One student: $35.
Second student in the same family: $25.
Additional students in the same family: no charge..
No additional charge for students that study with more than one instructor.
Maximum payment per new family is $60.
After paying your new student registration fee, and if you started your lessons at Reed Music Studios within 90 days of the annual registration renewal date (May 31), your renewal fee will be waived until the following year.
Annual Renewal Registration Fee for CURRENT/CONTINUING Students:
Due date is May 31.
One student: $25.
Second student in the same family: $15.
Additional students in the same family: no charge.
No additional charge for students that study with more than one instructor..
Maximum payment per continuing family is $40 per year.
The annual renewal registration fee must be paid in full by May 31. If fees are not paid within ten days of the due date, the student/family will be dropped from the instructor's schedule. We certainly hope this would not happen, but please understand that this is our only way to enforce that fees be paid.
Current students who must temporarily discontinue lessons, take the risk of losing their place on the instructor's schedule. Teachers fill openings as they become available to maintain a full schedule. If you choose to restart your lessons, and if there is availability, you will pay the registration fee as if you are a new student when the lessons resume.
To avoid paying these additional registration fees, and also to respect your instructor's time and schedule, you can hold your lesson time by continuing monthly payments to your teacher during any temporary absence.
